The pseudonym "Feral doe" evolved from a line in a poem that I wrote as a teenager about finding my footing in the world when my legs were all new and wobbly. For me personally, feral doe is growing up. Feral doe is taking the sweet innocent doe parts of you and sharpening them to be feral when you need them to be. I make illustrations of feelings I have as a way of accepting them, and showing others that may have similar feelings that they're not alone. Feral doe is strong and vulnerable and ever-evolving.

My art has been described as having a “zine-like feel”, and combining a “cute image with a sharp message.”
